From the uninhabited shores of Cozumel’s Caribbean coastline comes this raw and primitive necklace, imbued with the living energy of the sea and the mysteries of time and nature. This one-of-a-kind piece features a light, weathered driftwood fragment, likely carved from a 1/2" board long ago, now worn smooth and shaped into a tall, rounded triangle. Its pale gray tones whisper of its journey through saltwater, sun, and sand to finally land in my hands. Before completing this piece, I wore it for several sunset swims and snorkeling adventures among the sea fan forests on Cozumel’s vibrant reef. This connection to the ocean infused the necklace with deep earth energy and a sense of lived experience. The necklace is bound with weathered waxed leather cord, tied with knots that are unpolished and authentic, giving it the feel of an ancient relic found on the shore. The sliding knot design allows for adjustable wear, making it both versatile and unisex.
