Based out of Austin, Texas and Cozumel, Mexico, Karen is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, songwriter, musician, underwater photographer, and passionate ocean conservationist. Her work is deeply personal and intuitive, inspired by nature, decay, memory, and resilience.

Her paintings often feature distressed surfaces, layered neutrals, and organic marks that evoke time-worn materials, weathered landscapes, and emotional depth. Whether working with canvas, paper, or repurposed objects, she allows the materials to guide the process—favoring honesty over polish, meaning over trend.
